okay!
this is the beginning of an adventure; of a new way of life for us- without stuff, without the (other) people we love. this is the end of (at least) some small part of how we felt about life, or traveling, living, loving and owning.
we are leaving in one day for Jyvaskyla, Finland. a lovely city in central Finland, some 300 kilometers from St.Petersburg, Russia. our flight is leaving from Dulles, the hell of all airports, at 5:30 p.m tomorrow. it is arriving in Munich 7:30 a.m on the 31st, and finally making it to Helsinki at 12:00 p.m.
from Helsinki we have to take a train the 310 kilometers to Jyvaskyla. unfortunately, our apartment will not be ready for move-in until the fourth (my birthday!) so we will be staying in a local hostel. from this point on i'm not sure how things will go... hopefully we'll find some warmth!
we're going to miss all of you (particularly the one or two people that read this- jackie! mom!). love and kisses.
